<p>Ob veliki relevantnosti tematike in rezultatov projekta, je na to temo nastal tudi intervju Dragice Bošnjak z dr Trontljem, z naslovom <em>Zaradi ostankov zdravil v okolju moški manj plodni?</em>, ki si ga lahko preberete  na spletnih straneh<a href="http://www.delo.si/znanje/znanost/zaradi-ostankov-zdravil-v-okolju-moski-manj-plodni.html" target="_blank"> Delo znanost</a>, kot tudi prispevek v tiskani izdaji Dela z naslovom &#8220;<em>Kako se znebiti ostankov zdravil v vodah</em>&#8220;, objavljenem 12.10., 2017 v rubriki znanost.</p>
<p>Raziskovalka in sodelavka na projektu LIFE PharmDegrade, mag. Anita Klančar, pa je sodelovala na radijski okrogli mizi z naslovom <a href="http://4d.rtvslo.si/arhiv/pogled-v-znanost/174494183" target="_blank">Okoljska onesnažila in komunikacija tveganja</a>.  V pogovoru so o onesnažilih v okolju, posebej o aspektih glifosata, enega najbolj razširjenih sistemskih herbicidov širokega spektra (Monsantov proizvod Roundup), in o komunikaciji tveganja V ŽIVO govorili prof.dr.Lucija Peterlin Mašič (UL-FFA), vodja organizacijskega odbora kongresa; dr.Jernej Drofenik (Uprava RS za varno hrano, veter. in varstvo rastlin); dr.Lucija Perharič, predsednica Slovenskega toksikološkega društva in mag. Anita Klančar (UL-FFA). Pogovor je povezoval Goran Tenze.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We have presented the LIFE PharmDegrade project in the event <strong><em>&#8220;The LIFE programme: funding opportunities &amp; innovative solutions on wastewater treatment&#8221; </em></strong>organised by EASME and the LIFE Communications Team during the <a href="http://www.portowaterinnovationweek.eu/eip"><strong>European Innovation Partnership on Water</strong> conference</a> in <strong>Porto</strong> (26 &#8211; 29  September 2017). The project was selected from a pool of recently closed water projects due to its outstanding environmental benefits, level of innovation, economic feasibility and transferability potential.</p>

Operation and control of the physical and chemical parameters is carried out by a computer system SCADA. The final step of wastewater treatment represents electrochemical oxidation running in four electrolytic cells. Before and after wastewater treatment we monitor in addition to general physical and chemical parameters also the concentration of drug residues &#8211; pharmaceuticals. Target pharmaceuticals in our analysis are atorvastatin, bisoprolol, carbamazepine, ciprofloxacin, clofibric acid, diclofenac, fluoxetine, imatinib, metoprolol and sertraline.</p>
