The results of the recent development are two patent applications. The first one is a high-tech solution for the prevention of cyanobacteria blooms, enabling their early detection and removal. The second one is a system based on electrochemical degradation of persistent pollutants from the water applicable in the process of wastewater treatment as well as in the preparation of drinking water.

Faculty of Pharmacy (FFFA) is a project partner. The research group of FFA has rich experiences in the field of research of processes taking place in the human body after application of pharmaceutical drugs. Among others, FFA devotes a lot of attention to the development and use of sensitive analytical methods for the determination of pharmaceuticals and their metabolites, which are of a very high importance in the frame of LIFE PharmDegrade project. FFA will use different chromatographic methods with UV/Vis, EC, fluorescence and MS-MS detection fort the analysis of residuals of pharmaceutical drugs in wastewaters.
